1992 Oldsmobile Silhouette
Though it receives only minor changes since its debut in 1990 model year, the
1992 Oldsmobile Silhouette can be aptly describe as a striking and most innovative
looking vehicle in the industry due to its Space Age design. It gives smooth and
carlike ride and handling despite its carrying capacity. New for 1992 model year
are standard 15 inches wheels and Anti-lock Brake System. Sunroof, keyless entry
and rear climate controls are also available.

Oldsmobile Silhouette is powered by standard 3.1 liter V6 that comes along with
3-speed automatic transmission. Additional power can now be obtainable through
the optional 3.8 liter V6 mated with 4-speed automatic. Built in a 109.8 wheelbase,
this year's Silhouette has an overall length of 194.2 inches and cargo capacity
of 112.6 cubic feet. It has an average mileage of 18/23 mpg in the city/highway.
Despite of long stature, Silhouette will impress you with its smooth ride and
ease in handling. It certainly feels like a car and its power rack-and-pinion
steering is designed ideally to fit the vehicle. The brakes composed of power
front discs and rear drum performs excellently and it handles quick and unexpected
stops.
Among the changes in the ?92 Silhouette exterior are folding, power-operated
rear-view mirrors that comes standard and pop-up sunroof which are offered as
an option. To get rid of the conventional mast unit, Oldsmobile also incorporates
roof antenna. The 1992 Silhouette shows off its roomy and luxurious interior with
big and easy to read analog gauges. The windshield wipers, radio and air conditioner
controls can easily be activated. Its pretty goodies include built-in eyeglasses
holder situated in the ceiling console and a garage door opener button also in
the ceiling console.
