2004 Oldsmobile Silhouette
Special-trim Silhouettes help in putting a stop to America's oldest automotive
nameplate. For this year, Silhouette remains unchanged except for the keyless
entry and the luggage rails which are now standard. 2004 Oldsmobile Silhouette
comes in five trims ? GL, GLS, Premiere, GLS AWD and Premiere AWD. These upscale
Silhouettes focus on comfort and convenience. These trims are motorized by 3.4-liter
V6 engine that cranks out 185-horsepower and mated with automatic transmission.
Since it was made for customers who are looking for roomy yet practical and comfortable
vehicle, all trims are offered with standard air conditioning, cruise control,
power windows, power door locks, sliding doors, remote keyless entry, load-leveling
rear suspension, heated outside power mirrors, fog lights and AM/FM stereo with
Radio Data System and CD player.
Designed with safety in mind, Silhouette comes with features like dual-stage
front and front side airbags, daytime running lights, and anti-lock brake system.
Traction control is standard on GLS and Premier and an option on GL. Also, front
bucket seats and two 2nd-row bucket seats are standard. Reclining bucket seats
and third-row 50/50 split-folding bench seat are also available. Silhouette also
offers standard OnStar assistance.
The Premiere trims are very enticing because they receive standard Premiere entertainment
package including an overhead fold-down display screen, second-row speakers, four
pairs of wireless headphones, and a videocassette player with compartment for
four tapes and video game and camcoder input jack.
GLS trims on the other hand are tempting due to its extended overhead console,
front dual-zone air conditioning, auxiliary rear air conditioning, leather trim,
8-way power front seats, CD player and cassette, audio controls for rear-seat
passengers, 16-inch aluminum wheels, and a power sliding passenger door. Silhouette
options include power left-side sliding door, second-row and rear captain's chairs,
audio system composed of 6-disc CD changer in the dash, 16-inch chrome wheels
and towing package.
